Senior Hunting License

Ohio Residents born or living before December 31, 1937, are eligible for a free hunting license and any game permits. Ohio Residents age 66 or older and are born on or after January 1, 1938, are eligible for reduced-cost licenses and permits. They are not required to have a hunting license or an Ohio Wetlands Habitat Stamp while hunting on their grandparents’ land.

Ohio Department of Natural and Resources does not offer a hunting license for peoples with any disability or disabled veterans.

Military or Veteran Hunting License

Military members n active duty stationed in Ohio but NOT on leave or Furlough are required to purchase a resident Ohio hunting. Active Military members are on holiday, or Furlough is not necessary to buy a hunting license. It may be necessary for additional licenses and permits.
